Request tan tech to apply pH balancing prep spray prior to your tan for optimal color and evenness if you have scaly dry, sun damaged, or mature skin.
Request tan tech to apply Hydroseal Moisture lock spray after your tan to extend your tan, firm your skin, lock in moisture, and neutralize any “spray tan odor”.
Avoid excessive perspiration or touching your skin with your hands after your spray.
No shower gel, hair washing, or shaving in the first 24 hours after your tan application.
First shower, Rinse throughly with WARM water (no hot water with a spray tan!) until the water is running clear and you do not see anymore bronzer washing down the drain which takes about 5 minutes. Do not use your hands or a washcloth to help get the bronzers off. (That can result in stained hands)
First Rinse times vary. Classic tan Rinse times is 8 hours MINIMUM no matter how light or dark you want to be. Rapid tans are shorter, between 1-5 hours usually and you will be instructed by your tech.
Do not pee in the shower during the first Rinse. You will get streaks down your leg.
Shower with warm water using sulfate free soap/shower gel. Do not use a loofa. Dry off gently. Avoid hot showers and baths.
Moisturize at least twice daily with Sulfate free, paraben free, alcohol free lotions. Lotions can be purchased in studio.
Use Reef Safe Sunscreens instead of aerosol sunscreens
To further extend the freshness and length of your tan, use a tan extender once daily.
Do not spray perfumes or body sprays on your skin. These have a high alcohol content and will cause your tan to fade fast and crackly
Do not use micellar water, retinoids, salicylic acid, mineral oils, or alcohols on your skin.
Use a fresh razor and hair conditioner for shaving instead of shaving gel
